1. If the user is using a capacitive touch screen, it is recommended that they first correctly install the required driver program for the capacitive touch screen according to the relevant instructions when using it for the first time, and then use their fingers to click on "Start"/"Program"/"Microtouchware" on the screen to run the screen calibration program. After calibration is completed, the system automatically stores the calibrated data in the controller's register. After restarting the system in the future, there is no need to calibrate the screen again.
2. If during the operation of the capacitive touch screen, the panel resolution or mode of the touch screen is changed again, or the refresh rate of the touch screen controller is adjusted by oneself, and it is felt that the cursor and touch point cannot correspond, the touch screen system must be recalibrated.
3. In order to ensure the normal operation of the touch screen system, in addition to ensuring the correct installation of system software, it is also necessary to remember not to install two or more touch screen drivers on a single host. This can easily cause conflicts during system operation, making the touch screen system unusable.
4. When using a resistive touch screen, if the cursor is not moving or can only move in a local area, the user can check whether the touch area of the touch screen is constantly pressed by other touch objects. For example, once the touch screen is pressed by the panel housing or cabinet housing, it is equivalent to a point being constantly touched, and the coordinate position feedback to the controller will be inaccurate.
5. As mentioned earlier, once the system changes the panel resolution, adjusts the screen size, or performs the first installation, there may be inaccurate or drifting clicks. It is necessary to launch the built-in positioning program in the application to reposition. However, when positioning, it is best to use a relatively thin pen or finger tip for accurate positioning.
6. The working environment requirements for surface acoustic wave touch screens are high. They must work in a clean and dust-free environment, and regularly clean the dust on the surface of the touch screen. Otherwise, when the dust in the air covers the reflective stripes or transducers around the touch screen, it will affect the correct positioning of the system.
7. Do not let water droplets or other soft objects stick to the surface of the touch screen, otherwise the touch screen is easily mistaken for being touched by a hand, causing the surface sound wave screen to be inaccurate. In addition, when cleaning the dirt on the surface of the touch screen, users can carefully wipe it from the center of the screen outward with a soft dry cloth or cleaning agent, or use a dry soft cloth dipped in industrial alcohol or glass cleaning solution to clean the surface of the touch screen.
8. If the touch screen responds slowly when touched with hands or other objects, it is likely that the touch screen system is outdated, the internal clock frequency is too low, or there are water droplets moving on the surface of the touch screen. In order to restore fast response, the system must be replaced or upgraded, or the water droplets on the surface of the touch screen must be wiped dry with a cloth.
9. Touchscreens generally use serial ports for signal transmission, taking signals from PS/2 ports, while TPS screens take power directly from the host power supply. If the indicator light is not on, it means that no signal has been received, and the PS/2 cable on the control box may be broken. If the light is on but still doesn't flash, it means the control box is broken, so users must replace the control box. If replacing the control box still doesn't work, it may be because the screen is pressed too tightly and the screws around it need to be loosened slightly, because the touch screen is made of special materials and is not easily damaged. If the serial port is faulty or disabled, it will cause the driver program to fail to install, as it will automatically search for the serial port when installing the driver. Even if it can be installed, there may still be mouse immobility or inability to locate. It is best not to use a serial mouse to judge the quality of a serial port, as each of the nine serial ports may have different ways of using them. If the screen is pressed or the ground wire is not properly connected, it will cause the inability to locate. If there are some areas that cannot be clicked or respond slowly, it may be affected by dust, and the outer shell needs to be disassembled to remove the dust.
10. When touching a certain position of the capacitive touch screen with a finger and there is no response from the touch screen, it is likely that the corresponding touch position is inaccurate, and the cursor cannot be positioned correctly. If the cabinet shell is pressing against the touch area, the user can increase the distance between the cabinet and the monitor screen. If the monitor shell is pressing against the touch area, the user can try loosening the screws of the monitor shell a little.
