With the development of computer technology, the input methods of computers have gone through four stages, from paper tape input to keyboard input, mouse input, and then touch input. Since 1960, the United States has been the first to open the door to researching touch screen technology, which was first applied to the US military. In 1972, the PLATO (Programmed Logic for Automated Teaching Operations) project in the United States first introduced a touch screen for computer-assisted teaching. With the advancement of touch screen technology, its applications have become increasingly widespread, and its presence can be seen everywhere in banks, stations, and schools. China has become the most widely used user of touch screens. [9] With the development of electronic technology, network technology and the popularization of Internet applications, a new generation of touch screen technologies and products have emerged one after another. Its advantages, such as ruggedness, fast response, space saving, and ease of communication, have been recognized by the public.
Gradually, this easiest human-computer interaction technology has been pushed into many fields, in addition to being applied to personal portable information products, it is also widely used in home appliances, public information (such as e-government, banking, hospitals, power and other departments' business inquiries, etc.), electronic games, communication equipment, office automation equipment, information collection equipment and industrial equipment, and so on. Although touch screen technology has only been applied in China for more than a decade, it has become the most easily accepted computer input method by ordinary people after keyboard, mouse, handwriting board, and voice input. By using this technology, users can easily operate the host by lightly touching the icons or text on the computer screen with their fingers, making human-computer interaction more straightforward. This technology greatly facilitates users and has become a highly attractive new multimedia interactive device.
