If we still cannot meet your requirements after selecting thin backlights and polarizers as much as possible, we can also thin the TFT LCD panel (liquid crystal panel) based on the existing solution, such as thinning a single 0.5mm glass to 02-0.3mm. We know that TFT LCD liquid crystal panels are composed of two pieces of glass, with the middle layer filled with liquid crystal. So the original 1.0mm LCD panel can be thinned down to 0.4-0.6mm, which is very valuable for the overall thickness. Advantages: Make the overall thickness of the screen thinner and lighter. Disadvantages: Decreased yield and increased cost.
Customized shape cutting of TFT LCD panel:
We can cut the existing TFT LCD panel and change its original shape. For example, changing from a 16:9 screen to a 16:6 screen, from a 4:3 screen to a 4:2 screen, from a 3:2 screen to a 1:1 square screen, and so on. But not all LCD panels are suitable for cutting, it depends on the wiring method and circuit design of the LCD panel, so the formation of its scheme requires us to evaluate and experiment. Advantages: It can achieve special resolutions and sizes, suitable for making square or rectangular LCD screens. Disadvantages: Decreased yield, increased cost, not all products are suitable, and need to be matched with ITO wiring and driving methods for TFT LCD liquid crystal panels.
Customized mold opening for TFT LCD panels:
The vast majority of TFT LCD panels have fixed sizes and resolutions. If you need to customize a size or special resolution that is not available on the market, you can come to us for evaluation. We will provide suitable solutions to meet your needs and make your product cost unique in the market. However, customizing a brand new TFT LCD screen requires a large number of orders to support and expensive mold costs. If your order quantity is small, this may not be suitable. If the order quantity is relatively large, we will determine the most economical production line based on your requirements and the size of the TFT LCD panel. And evaluate the mold cost, minimum order quantity, and unit price. Advantages: The product is unique and has a product protection period, during which no one can use your customized panel. Disadvantages: The mold cost is high and there is a very high minimum order quantity requirement.
