Customization of Flexible Circuit Board (FPC) for LCD Screen: FPC is a printed circuit board with excellent flexibility, excellent curvature, lightweight and flexibility, and extremely high wiring density. It is made of polyimide or polyester film as the substrate. When it comes to FPC customization for LCD screens, we need to mention ribbon cables. The function of the screen FPC cable is to connect the screen with the control motherboard, thereby achieving the screen display function. And for the customization of wiring, we mainly focus on the interface PIN definition of the LCD display screen, as well as the length of the wiring, and so on. The two ends of the FPC cable are designed as insertable needle shaped connectors, with two connection methods: plug-in or soldering at both ends of the product. FPC cable has certain requirements for flexibility, so the substrate is made of rolled copper that is resistant to bending. In addition, FPC cable customization also requires consideration of requirements such as oxidation resistance and high temperature resistance in the process.
Customization of signal adapter board for LCD screen: mainly providing signal adapter between various interfaces of LCD screen. For the customization of signal adapter boards, we mainly focus on three key points: input signal, output signal, and resolution. For signal conversion, there are conversions between interface types, such as MIPI to TTL, VDS to TTL, PI to RGB, and so on. There are also conversions between interface PIN definitions, such as EDP30PIN to EDP45PIN, LVDS 20PIN to LVDS 40PIN, and so on. In addition to the input and output models, we need to pay special attention to the maximum resolution supported by the signal adapter board.
In terms of technical points, we need to pay attention to the following:
1. The screen driving voltage output by the driver board needs to be consistent with the voltage of the LCD screen, usually supporting screens above 5V.

Customization of capacitive key panels for LCD screens: We are all familiar with capacitive touch panels, which are widely used in industrial and commercial products to achieve touch operation and display functions. However, some customers' products may have button requirements, such as industrial handheld products, medical LCD screens, and car center control screens, which have capacitive buttons with physical button patterns on both sides. This requires us to mold and customize a capacitive button panel.
Let's first understand its principle. The human body is a conductor, and there will be capacitance between any two conductors. The size of the capacitance is related to the conductivity of the object, the size of the plates, and other factors. The two exposed copper areas between the PCB boards are the two plates of the capacitor, which is equal to one capacitor. When our fingers approach the PCB, due to the conductivity of the human body, the size of the capacitance will change. When the touch button chip detects a significant increase in capacitance value, it will output a switch signal. On the touch button PCB, there are components such as capacitor plates, ground wires, traces, and isolation zones, which form the capacitive environment of the touch buttons on the LCD display screen.
In the process of customizing capacitive button panels, we need to pay attention to the following technical points, such as no metal within 1mm directly above the buttons, metal within 50mm of the touch buttons must be grounded, otherwise the metal will affect the sensitivity of the buttons. Secondly, the touch button PCB is bonded to the glass cover of the screen with double-sided tape. The thickness of the double-sided tape should be between 0.1 and 0.15mm, which is more suitable. Technically, there should be no air between the touch button PCB and the glass cover plate, as air can greatly affect the sensitivity of the touch button. Therefore, the quality of the bonding will directly affect the smoothness of the final product's touch, and the process level must be strictly controlled.
