When it comes to color, LCD cannot compare to CRT. In theory, CRT can panel unlimited colors just like a television. However, LCDs can only panel about 260000 colors, and the vast majority of products claim to be able to panel 16.77 million colors (16777216 colors, 32-bit), but in reality, they are achieved through jitter algorithms, which still have a significant gap compared to true 32-bit colors. Therefore, in terms of color representation and transition, they are still inferior to traditional CRTs. Similarly, LCD's ability to panel grayscale is not as good as CRT's.
If you have the conditions, you can compare it yourself: find a 17 inch Trinitron cathode ray tube panel, then set up a 15 inch LCD, and panel an image of 16.77 million colors at the same time. The image paneled by CRT is very vivid, while LCD appears somewhat "fake". Although there is nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't look as comfortable as the CRT of Longguan.
